IT Configuration Technician (Contract)

Our Global Enterprise client is looking for an IT Technician to be part of their growing team that will provide effective and efficient support to our clients.

Location: Hatfield

NOTE: Active SC Clearance will be utilised.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT configuration services at a component level whilst being self-sufficient to manage workload within timely parameters.
  • Provide software installations and configuration in an existing IT infrastructure or pre-designed project and will be familiar with current Microsoft desktop Operating Systems.
  • Bespoke System work. In house systems (training given).
  • Building (Software) various systems using detailed scripts. Training provided on scripts.
  • Effective up-line reporting – Must have strong and effective communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 25-50% of this role is data input, all on spreadsheets so input is manual.
  • Consolidating consignments for distribution.</li

Soft Skills:

  • Flexible approach and ability to work co-operatively within a newly created team environment.
  • Should be a self-starter and be able to perform quality assurance and control to create technical deliverables that are error free / with minimal non-functional defects.
  • Experience in operationally supporting large, complex technical environment.
  • Methodical and structured in their approach to tasks.
  • Capability to organise and prioritise tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish/maintain relationships and interact with team members.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
