Our client is a Microsoft Gold Cloud Platform, Productivity and Cloud Solutions Provider (CSP) Partner. They specialise in Enterprise Solutions and work closely with clients in in Public Sector. They are one of only five Microsoft Azure BCDR black belt partners in the UK. They are also the global leader in the delivery of Azure StorSimple solutions and ExpressRoute.

The Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. As part of this role you will be required to work onsite at their Milton Keynes office 5 days per week. The role would suit someone who loves the variety of consistent challenges and being engaged with new, exciting projects. You will work on a range of technologies and systems, ensuring that end-customers’ IT infrastructure is running smoothly and efficiently. As an individual, you understand the importance of problem ownership and client success and you aim for top rated client feedback by providing high quality service.

Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience working as an IT Engineer
  • Experience working in a customer focused environment
  • Familiar with working to SLA’s to meet customer and contract requirements
  • Strong level of knowledge in MS Windows Desktop platform and MS Office Products (including Teams)
  • Intermediate knowledge and application of Active Directory
  • Strong communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Good knowledge of: MS Window Server Platforms, Office 365, Networking & WiFi and Powershell is desirable but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of internal infrastructure and remote systems ensuring customers get maximum benefits from them.
  • Managing client expectations through clear and regular communications, and escalating any concerns.
  • Reactive support for hardware (desktops, Laptops, Servers, Storage, Network).
  • Reactive support for Software/Applications (Office, Active Directory, Teams, Azure, Office365, Hypervisors, SharePoint, Yealink).
  • Management of business applications such as Connectwise Manage, ITGlue and Parallels.
  • Taking end to end ownership of incident progression and resolution.
  • To action Installs, Moves, Additions, and Changes (IMAC’s):
  • Building/imaging new or replacement machines.
  • Creation/removal of user accounts.
  • Deploying software to client machines.
  • Manual patching of servers and switches.
  • Manual patching of business applications.
  • Assisting with audits and development of existing and new solutions (desirable).
  • Helping to develop and maintain documentation internally.
